A Christian library makes for a Godly community
We would like you to consider for a moment a library as a microcosm of the world. Its patrons are from all walks of life, representing various places, cultures, education and socioeconomic backgrounds. We can even go as far and measure the wellness of a community by its library. Research reveals a library can indeed make a positive impact on its community and is evident in the information compiled here.
Now consider a library such as ours whose tenets are rooted on the Christian faith. We believe by informing, educating and evangelizing about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit; obeying God's greatest commandments, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. [...] Love your neighbor as thyself." (Matthew 22:36-40); and by practicing daily the Fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) (Galatians 5:22-23), we will grow not only a positive but a Godly community--one which exudes qualities such as these presented by Dan Gallagher of Truth or Tradition.
